Herringbone Tweed Three-Piece Suit

Tweed is the oldest performance fabric in menswear. Woven in Scotland from the early nineteenth century for men who needed to be outdoors in cold, wet weather while still looking like they had somewhere important to be, it has outlasted every synthetic alternative because nothing else combines its weight, warmth, texture, and durability in a single cloth. The herringbone weave — alternating columns of V-shapes that create a directional chevron pattern — adds structural depth to an already substantial fabric. In dark grey-green, the combination reads as serious without reading as severe.

Three pieces: jacket, waistcoat, and trousers, cut to work together or separately. The jacket worn with the waistcoat is the complete look — the kind of outfit that is photographed against snow with a regimental stripe tie and a pocket square and looks exactly right, because it is.
